Practical Points in Musketry is a rare original WW1 Musketry handbook published c.1914. Illustrated with photographs and diagrams, the book covers the standard issue service rifles of the British Army before and during WW1: the Lee Enfield MK II charger loading magazine rifle, the Lee Enfield MK III SMLE, and the Martini Enfield Rifle (which was used by Volunteer Training Corps units before the start of the war). The book includes information on parts of the rifle, cleaning, sights and sighting, judging distance, allowance for wind, zeroing, elevation, aiming, firing positions, snap shooting, bullets, zone of fire, and range practice.
Condition:
In good condition. The card cover is in good condition, with minor signs of use, and some marks and creases. The stapled binding is secure, although the original staples are rusty. The text and illustrations are in good condition, with some creased corners.
