Royal Naval Handbook of Field Training is an original Admiralty handbook published in 1926. Very well illustrated with diagrams and photographs, the book covers the standard small arms, field gun, and weapons training and drill of the Royal Navy soon after the First World War. Subjects covered include: Squad Drill, Rifle Exercises, Bayonet training, Platoon formations, Sword Exercises, Cutlass Drill, Company Drill, Webley Pistol Mk VI, Field Gun Drill, Battery Drill, Machine Gun Drill, the Lewis Gun, and Ceremonial Duties. There are numerous excellent photos of kit, webbing, rifles, pistols, swords, field guns and limbers. The various firing positions for the rifle, Lewis Gun, and Webley Mk VI are also illustrated.
