A rare original WW2 unarmed combat manual, published by Bernards of London c.1940. It includes details of a wide variety of blows, holds, kicks, throws, strikes, and other self defence techniques. With instructions on how to deal with assailants armed with knives or pistols, and how to overpower sentries. The booklet is well illustrated with numerous drawings of servicemen using the techniques. The booklet was intended to be used by both the regular army and the Home Guard.

Condition:
In good condition. The card cover is in fair to good condition, with signs of wear and use and a few marks and creases. The top edge has been reinforced with archival paper tape. The text and illustrations are in good condition. The stapled binding is secure, although the original staple is rusty.
