An original 1928 edition of Taschenbuch Der Luftflotten, an extensive and very detailed aeronautics handbook, covering the world's aircraft in the interwar period. This copy came from the British Air Ministry Library, and has various Air Ministry and Imperial War Museum ink stamps on the endpapers and title page. There is also a sticker of 'A 13' (Air Intelligence 13) on the front cover. A. I. 13 was the the Air Ministry section that dealt with intelligence relating to the German Air Force, including order of battle, aircraft production, airfields, and the potential threat posed by German air power to the other European powers.
Illustrated with over 900 photographs and line drawings, this book is a very useful reference work on the aircraft of the 1920's. It Include details of aircraft, aero engines, airships and gliders. With text in English, German, and French.
In good condition. The boards are in good condition, with general signs of use, some marks, and wear to the edges and corners. The text and illustrations are in good condition. There are Air Ministry and Imperial War Museum stamps and markings to the endpapers and title page.
